Jeremiah Alvesta Wright, Jr., (kelahiran 22 September 1941) adalah seorang pastur dan guru spiritual dari Barack Obama yang merupakan anak dari seorang pendeta. Ayahnya, Jeremiah Alvesta Wright adalah seorang pastur di Gereja Grace Baptist pada tahun 1938 sampai dengan 1980. Ibunya dalah seorang guru orang hitam pertama yang mengajar di Germantown High School dan Philadelphia High School.

Ketertarikan Wright kepada agama sudah terlihat pada saat dia masih remaja. Ayahnya menantangnya untuk menjaga keseimbangan antara kecerdasan dan spiritualitas. Selain menjadi pastur, Wright juga dikenal sebagai tokoh yang mengkritisi adanya ketidakadilan yang dialami oleh orang kulit hitam di Amerika. Dia juga menyatakan bahawa rasisme dan ketidakadilan masih berlangsung di Amerika. Dia menyindir ketidakadilan tersebut dengan menyatakan bahwa orang Amerika memercayai adanya orang kulit hitam sebagai ras yang rendah lebih dari kepercayaan mereka kepada Tuhan.

Dia menjadi seorang pastur di Trinity United Church of Christ di Chicago semenjak tahun 1972. Barack Obama mengunjungi gerejanya pada tahun 1988 ketika dia menjadi anggota komunitas gereja. Obama bergabung dengan Trinity United pada tahun 1992. Wright adalah pendeta yang menikahkan Obama dengan istrinya, Michelle. Dia juga adalah pastur yang membaptis kedua anak Obama.
