M777 menembakkan M982 Excalibur

M777 howitzer adalah meriam artileri 155 mm. Senjata ini merupakan turunan dari howitzer M198 dalam Korp Marinir AS dan AD AS pada 2005.

M777 juga digunakan oleh Angkatan Darat Australia, Kanada, India dan Saudi Arabia. Senjata ini digunakan dalam Perang Afghanistan.[1]

Varian

  • M777 – senjata dilengkapi kontrol optik
  • M777A1 – upgrade pendigitan dengan tambahan sumber daya, GPS, navigasi inersia, radio, Gun Display Unit (GDU) dan Section Chief Assembly (SCA).
  • M777A2 – Upgrade perangkat lunak Block 1A. Tambahan pada Enhanced Portable Inductive Artillery Fuze Setter (EPIAFS) untuk kesesuaian Excalibur dan kecocokan kemampuan presiai peluru.[2]
  • M777ER – Upgrade ekperimen dibuat dengan Proyek Extended Range Cannon Artillery (ERCA).[3]
